The old policies below were very outdated, so as Minister of Applications I've updated them a bit, whilst keeping the general message intact.
CW Standing Orders (August 24 2009)
CW members must strive to give CW a positive image within the Empires Community, by way of:
1. Displaying Sportsmanship at all Times. This includes NEVER Stacking, Cheating in any way or Moaning when losing.
2. CW members must be polite and helpful towards new players, whether they are the Commander or not. If they can offer help to new players, they must endevour to do so.
3. You must attempt to keep "Drama" to a minimum - rather than vocalising concerns in an inflamatory way in public, if they have an issue with a person, they must either take it up with the person themselves, or a neutral third party, and if they have a problem with a group of people, they must take it up with an appropriate representative, or a neutral representative from that group.
These were left here for future reference, although they no longer apply.
CW Standing Orders (Dec 26 2007)
All CW members are expected to remember that their actions are representative of the clan image. Failure to comply with any of this policy may result in an investigation by the Enforcement Division and possible demotion and/or dismissal. That being said these are your standing orders :
1. CW members will always exhibit Sportsmanship and promote Good Will within the Empires Community.
2. CW members will always 'respect' their superior officers by avoiding public arguments / division
3. All CW are expected to have 'considerable' patience towards new players; if you can't be helpful at least point them to a training server. Do not help turn them off Empires with negativity
4. No muting fellow CW members on your team, especially your Squad Leader's and Commander. They will be providing you with intel that you need to know to help your team!
5. Keep inter-clan disputes to a minimum (we don't mind harmless banter and healthy jesting) but don't get into heated arguments with enemy factions. We don't need to fight these 'battles'.
6. No public badmouthing / griping about Empires, its' community, or its' developers. In private, feel free to speak your mind, but lets not create dissent in the gaming community when it's not needed. This is how we keep our reputation so shiny.
7. No server admin abuse. Excessive mapchanges and exploiting (sv_grav / noclip) are common things we here at CW would care to not see on our servers. In addition to this, when you are going to kick or ban someone you must first explain / communicate to them WHY you are kicking/banning and give them a brief chance to change their ways. We are a forgiving bunch, but if they do not comply or simply want to argue, direct them to our forums and boot them.
If you have any concerns or questions about these policies please feel free to contact us via PM or on steam.
