Gameplay
Style: Support
Personality: Leader
Explanation:

About 75% of the time I play as an Engineer, which lends itself to playing a support role. When I started playing there was no learning server, so I just had to read the wiki and guide religiously, which I did. Playing as an Engineer seemed like a safe bet at the time, in part because they're so important in the beginning of the round, so that was what I cut my teeth on: building radars, refs, and turrets. After a while, I wasn't a complete n00b anymore, but I loved helping others out. After all, there are always plenty of people who need ammoz, healz, or just need a rez. This playstyle combined with my collection of knowledge and objective driven gameplay led naturally to me heading a squad. Which brings me to another point: I couldn't care less about "k/d r," what I'm interested in is helping the team win, one objective at a time. Not that my scores are bad, but I'm more than willing on occasion to spend the game repairing (and re-repairing) disparate refs, (or sabbing them as a jeep-scout) despite how boring and unfulfilling it might feel to others. I'd say my greatest strength is my ability to doggedly pursue an objective. My greatest weakness is probably my driving--I don't get much practice, my ping is high, and my frames per second low. I'm an average driver at best.

More Info
Can you briefly describe your relevant gaming history and any previous clans that you have been a member of?

Well, aside from Killzone 2, I've never joined a clan, nor been interested in joining a clan. This is in part due to the fact that I have a very busy schedule, and don't often have the time (or desire) to commit to one game.

Are you willing to wear the clan tag for other games we play?

I would be, but I don't play more than a handful of games on Steam...what about console?

Why do you want to join Commonwealth Warriors?

Now that I have mastered the basics, I'm ready to play more competitive games; pick-up games with random players just aren't that interesting anymore. I think that joining a clan could help me improve my gaming skills, but also I'd like to learn more about what being in clan means: friendship, competition, heirarchy, etc.

How long have you been playing Empiresmod?

About a year.

Do you own a microphone or willing to acquire one? Will you use it for in-game chat?

I own and use a mic (all the time.)

Which of the following chat programs do you use or are planning to use for empires? (Most important are STEAM Friends, IRC, TeamSpeak and Ventrilo but also gTalk, Xfire, AIM, MSN, ICQ)

I have STEAM Friends of course, as well as IceChat and Ventrilo. Believe it or not, I've never used the last, and I'm very, very new to IRC. I'm a quick learner though.

Will you be active in the forums?

An active reader probably. I don't post often (anywhere,) but only because I'm particular about when I post. (I don't just toss my opinions or ideas around.)

Would you be willing to help us with problems and maybe discuss tactics?

Sure, that's the kind of thing I like to talk about. However, I'm not quite "veteran" enough to argue tactics with people that have been playing since 2.0. Smile

Can you be serious and act mature when and where it is preferred?

I would say that I'm serious the vast majority of the time I play, so yes. (Not that I don't have a sense of humor.)

Please describe any special skills you may have (eg. graphics, mapping, storytelling, coding, etc.)

Not very tech savvy, sorry to say. I'm a good editor, and I speak French, and some Korean. Not sure how helpful that is...

Is there anything else we should know that you feel is important?

I live and teach in South Korea, but I was born in raised in the U.S.A.

Sincerely,
-La Mort 13
