I enjoy empires. i enjoy playing on reliable servers and with players who know how to play as a class that doesn't involve the scout rifle. I enjoy the teamwork that comes with playing aloingside good players, i realise that it appears that people who know how to play the game seem to find themselves playing along side each other, but this is human nature and i did not realise facsism was now a feature of the empires community
somehow "stacking" has become associated with this clan of good humoured, skilled and intelligent people that i am proud to find myself a member of, more specifically than that of other clans. Whilst it is true CW does group together, SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE.
So how does this general stacking happen? sometimes by accident, to balance the teams, to join the losing team to turn the tide of the game (and if this has caused people to complain about having victory snached from their clasps then they should get over it and grow some!) or just for some team play with friends. Also the readers of this might take the time to notice that after a while of playing people generally notice who are good players and whos skill is lacking, tending to group towards those with the more skill to increase the chances of actually winning
there are a few times when this "stacking" actually has some benifit e.g. to get the map changed to a map that isn't going to turn to a shit throwing match that lasts for several hours of "HORF I CAN HAS SPAM MOAR LVL3 TURRETZ THAN YOUZ LOLOLOLZ!!1!11!11!" and utter bordem because there are no admins around or they cba to change the map and people would complain even if the map was changed (HINT: PEOPLE COMPLAIN ALL THE TIME, IT IS WHAT THEY DO)
there are also a large number of times when this "stacking" has failed:
- when (OMG!!) the other team has also got "stacked" by other good players, unbelieveably there are good players that are not in clans or in a clan that is not CW, i know it is hard for some narrow minded people to imagine such a thing, but it happens.
- when there has been a bad commander, we have all had games like that where the team has been good only to then have a commander who has really screwed the team over
- the alledged "stackers" have just been pratting about as scout or other such things i.e. GUNJEEPZ(this game is meant to be fun)
- in games of 20 asside or more haveing more a handful of people who happen to be experienced in empires playing allongside one another does not mean they will win
Personally it is my opinion that alot of the time the people who blame CW for "stacking" are probably more than equal to blame for this stupidity, and anyone who says CW is to blame for "stacking" probably thinks that all black people are thieves and all people wearing turbans are terrorists!
I realise there have been complaints because (boo-hoo-hoo) they cant deal with the fact they lost, but there is no reason to start ruining the game that we all love. There is no practical way of balancing out teams with players of equal skill or equal clans etc without being a complete arsehole, sometimes teams win sometimes teams lose in the few years of playing empires the "stacking" thing hasnt been a problem overall, yes it might occasionally win a game but more often than not it does not matter and those who moan about it are generally the type of people who take bags of peanuts back to the store because it does not say "may contains nuts".
If it is thought that this "stacking" is ruining the game then ha!ha!ha! pull the other one, it's got bells on it!
